  9. this upload fixes a small and nasty bug in the WAVE-loader/saver

  11. SampleZ V1.0 is on the way. I hope to upload the final version end of the year

  15. After over 4 years of SampleE, the program got bigger and bigger and the code
  16. got more and more messy. So a major code cleanup is neccessary. Because that
  17. and the reason that the current SampleE hasn't much in common with the first
  18. Aminet version I decided to stop SampleE and start a new project called
  19. SampleZ.

  21. SampleZ was meant to base very heavy on SampleEs code. But after some smaller
  22. code cleanups/changes I came upon several things which to change in an existing
  23. and working program is nearly impossible. So I decided to stop SampleZ at his
  24. point (V0.12alpha)  and COMPLETELY REWRITE 50-75% of the code !!!!  Only the
  25. sample-editing parts of the code will be taken from SampleE.

  27. As this rewriting of the code will take much time and SampleZ has already some
  28. new working features, I decided to share SampleZ V0.12alpha with you.

  30. But keep your eyes open for the Final-Version of SampleZ !

  33. NEWS and CHANGES compared to SampleE V4.08
  34.  
  35.  - better implementation of the progressbar -> needs less cpu
  36.  - new and better moving bar during playback + display of the time
  37.   -> AHI:   bar + time update now 8 times per second (instead of 4)
  38.   -> Paula: bar + time update now 4 times per second (instead of 2)
  39.  - read (WAVE-) MPEG-Audio files using mpega.library V2+
  40.  - read uncompressed AIFC files
  41.  - opens its window on Workbench-, Own- and new: Default-Public-Screen
  42.  - moved several, often needed functions into a "support"-library
  43.    -> main-program and io-librarys are much smaller now
  44.  
  45. and several internal changes, which won't be recognized by the user :-)

  47. SampleZ should be as stable as the latest SampleE, afterall its a aplha version
  48.  
  49. I included the last SampleE-Guide as the usage of SampleZ is exactly the same.
